KENT COUNTY, MI – Authorities responded to a crash involving a semi-truck early Tuesday evening on U.S. Highway 131 in Walker.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the accident took place on the southbound lanes south of the exit to Interstate 96 at around 4:30 p.m.
The circumstances of the wreck were not immediately made known, but the left southbound lanes were blocked as a result, causing a traffic backup that extended to the West River Drive exit.
By 10:40 p.m., nearly six hours after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene and all lanes were announced reopened.
