LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI – Three passengers, including a juvenile, lost their lives Sunday morning due to a single-vehicle rollover wreck off U.S. Highway 23 in Tyrone Township.
The fatal accident happened on the southbound lanes of US-23 near Faussett Road, in the Howell area, at around 8:25 a.m.
Michigan State Police said a 44-year-old man was driving a car southbound when he lost control of the vehicle and caused it to veer off the roadway and overturn.
Three passengers, including a 22-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl, and a 44-year-old woman, were all pronounced deceased.
The driver and one surviving passenger, an 18-year-old man, were transported to an area emergency room for critical injuries.
An investigation remains underway, but alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the accident.
