OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – One person died Sunday afternoon following a single-vehicle collision near Holland that left two other people with critical injuries.
The accident happened on a stretch of Lakeshore Drive near Eagle Drive, in Park Township. Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at about 3:45 p.m.
According to officials, the driver lost control moments before the vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
First responders pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. Two other people who were traveling in the vehicle were rushed to an area hospital where they were listed in critical condition.
An investigation into the circumstances of the event remains underway.
